Money Counter!

 Ki ora bloggers! For the last few weeks, we have been learning about kiwi innovators. This week we have been focusing on making our own innovation! Courtney, Amy, Georgie, and I, have joined as a group and thought of our own invention. We thought of a money counter. If you are ever at the mall or going shopping anywhere and you forget your card and find it hard to count and gather exactly all the coins you need? Well, the money counter would definitely help you! This slide was our design process. We went through the slide and wrote first- define- identify- brainstorm- select- prototype- test- iliterate- and communicate. Then we started to design our money counter in real life. We haven't finished all of this yet but hope so too soon! What would you make to solve a problem?

Interesting Innovators

 Hey bloggers! This week we have started doing kiwi innovators. First, we read about a guy named LenLight who made an easier and healthier way to make yogurt. Then we answered questions about the story. Then we got to create our own yogurt brand in Canva. This was really fun to make. What's your favorite flavor of yogurt?

Magnificent math

 Hi Bloggers! In maths, we have been learning about transformation (reflection, rotation, translation, or enlargement) This slide was about translations. Translations can be hard but they get easier when you understand how to do it. I haven't finished my whole slide yet, but I am still working on it!. Have you worked on translations?

Kia ora bloggers, welcome back to school! To start off this term we have been learning and writing about our cultures and where we are from. I wrote about the Netherlands because that is where I am from. It's really fun learning about the Netherlands and Iearnt a lot of new things. I havn't yet finished this but I will keep working on it! Amazing Moari Animation

 Hey bloggers! This week we have been doing Maori animations in buddies or by ourselves, that can be located anywhere we want. We have to include Maori words and phrases. Animations take a very long time and you have to add a lot of slides and detail. But animations are super fun to make I really enjoyed making this. I made this on slides with my friend Annabelle. Magnificent math resource

 Hey Bloggers! Back to school! In maths we have been learning about converting fractions, decimals and percentages. I use this slide as a resource to help me remember how to convert them. And you can too. The questions were challenging but it was really helpful that there were resources on the slide. I enjoyed learning about this. Did you find this helpful?

Battle of the mountains

For our inquiry, we have been learning about the Maori story called battle of the mountains. Now we have had to do animations in buddies or individual on it. I have not finished yet but I will update you soon. It's very hard to make and animation because you have to put a lot of time to make one. It is also super fun. Rembrandt report

Hey bloggers! In literacy, we have been learning about report writing. We had to read about Rembrandt and watch a few videos on him. Then we created a report on him. I loved learning about Rembrandt and it was really interesting to research. Kangaroo report

 Hi bloggers, in literacy we have been focusing on report writing. Now we have started to write our own report and I'm doing mine on kangaroos. I haven't finished yet, but I'll keep you updated! It's really fun to write a report and learn all about kangaroos. I chose to do mine on kangaroos because I don't a lot about them. Writing a report helps to learn things you probably haven't known before. Have ever wrote a report? If you have what was it about?

Court theatre day

 

Hi bloggers, This week two people came to our school to do some acting! We went down to hall in homebases and did some really fun stuff. And one of the girls were actually Amy, Annabelle and I's dance teacher which was really cool.

First, we did a warm up which was going around in a circle and showing off some dance moves.

Then, we played a fun game where the teacher would go around and point to someone and say splat! They would then have to duck down and the two people beside them would say splat and whoever said it last would be out. Or if the person didn't duck down early enough then they would be out also.

We also played a similar game but instead of saying splat she would say and animal and you had duck down and the two people beside you would have to act that animal. 

We then split into groups and had to act out a scene or and object. The hard thing was, that you couldn't talk so we had to work together while being silent which was challenging.

Lastly, we split into pairs and tried to say the tongue twister as many times as we could which was Irish wrist watch.

It was really fun to do and work together. Do you enjoy acting? Also happy pink shirt day!

Prince Ali fabulous he..

Hi bloggers, we have been working on our Aladdin performance and these are one of the activities I've been doing.  I've made this pixel of Abu from Aladdin. 

 

I used a photo of Abu on a pixel and copied that, if you want to find the original you can get it from the slide I posted before this or you can just use this one. I made this on Pixel art. 

It was really fun to make and use all the different colors to make this really cool pixel.

We have been practising our performance which is Alladin. These are the slides we have been working on as activities.

I've added some links to work that I've done in the slides. It's really fun to work through and to make Alladin themed stuff. I used pixel art for the pixels and adobe spark for writings. Have you ever done a school performance? If so, what was it based on? E.g Lion king, Alladin.

Hi bloggers! Today for inquiry we have been learning about doing a quality email. This is an email I wrote to my teacher labled by which is what

 

This is mine. This was a screen shot of my email and I used google drawing to get arrows and and write what they were. It starts with a title/greeting. Make sure it's sensible like Hello, Dear or kia ora. Then your introduction. Make sure it includes what your email is a about so the reader gets an idea. Then put in all your writing, and finish it up with a closing.  It was cool to make this and to learn about how to do a good email. Have you ever sent an email?

School camp reflections

 

Hi bloggers! These are some of my goals that I wrote down before I went on school camp. It's really fun to make goals and reflect on them! This was a reflection on my last post about my school camp goals. Camp was really fun and I'm excited to sometime again. I achieved my goals because I ended up trying the monorail and it was super fun. I recommend going on it if your ever going to living springs. I also talked to some new people in my cabin that I didn't know. Camp is a fun way to meet new people. Have you ever been on a school camp? 

 Hi bloggers, we are going to living springs for a school camp. This is my goal for it.

For the next three days we are going on a school camp. I am super excited and hope to achieve my goals. Hopefully I can reflect on this in future. Have you ever been on school camp?
